Spring flowers.
Springtime has come later than normal here due to the heavy snow. Now that the snow has finally gone, the flowers are coming up in the garden and inspiring me to paint some new still lives.
This is a lovely time of year and seeing these flowers coming through after being buried under eighteen inches of snow only a few weeks ago is a joy.

First flowers painting.
Inspired by the flowers I picked last week, I have produced this painting which will be shown at my next solo show at Bircham gallery in Holt, Norfolk. There will be thirty new pieces in the show.
The exhibition begins on March 23rd. This coincides with their 25th anniversary.

New flowers in the garden.
This time last week the garden was covered in snow, but now the snow has melted and we already have some lovely flowers coming up. Here is a small posy I picked today:
